Police plead for assistance to find two elderly men
Police are asking for assistance to locate men in the Mecklenburg and Botashoek areas.

The SAPS are investigating the mysterious disappearance of a 70-year-old man, Edward Dinkwani Phasha, who was last seen on Thursday December 2.

The victim is reportedly mentally challenged and allegedly departed from his place of residence in Ga-Phasha, Selatole Village, without informing his family where he was going. He has since disappeared. Police search operations were conducted in surrounding areas, without success. He was reportedly last seen wearing black trousers, a red T-shirt with white stripes, and black tekkies.

In another case, the Tubatse SAPS in Burgersfort require the public’s assistance to locate a 65-year-old man, Josias Mofana, of Bothashoek.

“Allegedly, he is a man with mental challenges. On Friday November 19 at about 19:45, he left his home with his wife to attend a funeral in the same village. While on the way, the elderly man decided to return home and his wife proceeded to the funeral.
“The next day, on November 20, at about 14:30, his wife returned home and discovered that her husband was nowhere to be found. He had left his cellphone at home,” said the Limpopo SAPS spokesperson, Brig Motlafelo Mojapelo. He said attempts to search for the man at relatives and surrounding areas were unsuccessful.
The elderly man was last seen wearing a navy blue T-shirt with yellow stripes, grey trousers, blue tekkies, and a khaki cap at the time of his disappearance.
