Sekhukhune District Municipality taking stock
A forensic investigation into the affairs of the Sekhukhune District Municipality has been approved; it includes municipal finances.
The council of Sekhukhune District Municipality convened on Friday April 8.
It supported the request by Cllr Julia Lata Mathebe, the executive mayor, to institute a forensic investigation into the affairs of the district municipality.

Mathebe made the request during a special council meeting that was held in Ga-Nkoana.
The forensic investigation was given a six months’ lifespan by council.
The purpose of the forensic investigation is to investigate infrastructure, service delivery, governance, organisational capacity and municipal finances.
