Efforts to restore town to former glory as a beautiful Mpumalanga town
The Lydenburg Mashishing Business Chamber (LMBC) is continuing with its united effort to make a difference and show they care.
The collective effort was an initiative by the Lydenburg Mashishing Business Chamber (LMBC). At the beginning of the year, the chamber started its mission by turning its slogans, “Together we can” and “We care”, into an active effort.

The tasks dealt out to the volunteers included raking, shovelling, picking up trash and, most importantly, cutting the long grass obstructing the roadside for motorists.
During a business breakfast on Thursday April 7, Pr Andre Hanekom, shared the budget and labour that is involved with this project.
Hanekom made it clear that the most effective way to become part of beautifying the town is by joining the business chamber. LMBC said the current weekly costs are R7 500.
This week the Vandernest Furniture, Mega Paints, Morgan Nissan, Rietfontein Packaging and Bebels Coffee Express contributed to the project. “But nearly 60 businesses and individuals have contributed up to date,” said Etli van der Merwe, chairperson LMBC.
