Local girl the first princess in pageant
The grade two pupil of Steelpoort Academy has won many crowns, including Miss Valentine at Tingeling School when she was four years old.
STEELPOORT – Seven-year-old Ndaloenhle Lethabo Sibanyoni of Longtill was the first princess in Little Mr and
Miss Africa.
The pageants were held in the Pearl of Africa Hotel in Uganda last Friday.
Her mother, Poppy, confirmed that Ndaloenhle was a runner-up in the competition on Monday.
“She was outstanding. It’s a pity she didn’t bring the big crown home, but as a country we are proud of her achievements. As a family, we thank all South Africans who supported us during the tough journey. We are also thankful to her coach, Pearl Ngele.”
Ndaloenhle has always enjoyed modelling. Since the age of three she has been parading on the veranda, imitating top models.
She said modelling has taught her to love and respect herself and other people around her.
“Modelling taught me to share, forgive and be confident in myself and what I can achieve. I am now aiming for other big pageants worldwide.”
She knows how to handle tricky interview questions and the pressure that comes with them.
This is all thanks to the modelling lessons she has taken at Sekhukhune Pageantry and Modelling Academy.
