Help this young Ngodwana man beat leukemia
Make your way to Ngodwana, Penryn College or i'langa Mall to register with the South African Bone Marrow Registry and help a young local.
Ruan van Wyk was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and is searching for a bone marrow donor match.
The 24-year-old lives with his parents, Emil and Nicolette, in Ngodwana Village.

His acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Philadelphia variant) is an aggressive form of blood and bone marrow cancer. He is about 10 weeks into treatment, but needs a bone marrow transplant for a fighting chance to beat this cancer.
If you are between the ages of 16 and 45, you have the gift of life and can consider becoming a donor.
The South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) will be at the Ngodwana Mill on May 24, the Ngodwana Village Rose Room on May 25, as well as at Penryn College (10:00 to 13:00) and i’langa Mall’s entertainment court (14:00 to 17:30) on May 26.
To register, you fill out a form, and if you qualify, the SABMR will do a mouth swab.
