Mzansi Ballet to put on major production at Curro Nelspruit

The show puts a modern spin on the classic tale of Cinderella se to the music of ABBA and will take place this Friday, October 21.

Join Mzansi Ballet’s spectacular family-friendly The ABBA Show – A Cinderella Story, at Curro Nelspruit’s Sycamore Theatre on Friday October 29.

This production is a modern telling of the classic Cinderella, set to the timeless music of ABBA and innovative and hip choreography by Angela Revie and Michael Revie.

With out-of-this-world costumes and sets designed by fashion designer extraordinaire, David Hutt, the show will also be featuring Cathy Specific (Brendan van Rhyn) as the Fairy Godmother.

The audience can expect hits such as “Mamma Mia”, “Dancing Queen”, “Money Money Money”, to name a few, including the Cathy Specific sung “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” and “I Have a Dream”.

No Mzansi Ballet show is complete without a cast of world-class dancers such as Angela Revie, Aviwe November, Veronica Louw, Marlon Frometa Ballester (National Ballet of Cuba), Shana Dewey (former dancer with Joburg Ballet), Paulo De Jesus Gonzalez and Joshua Williams.

People are encouraged to come dressed in their best ABBA regalia to compete and be crowned on-stage as the best dressed at the ball.

This performance forms part of Mzansi Ballet’s tour to Sasolburg, Mbombela, Bloemfontein, Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The show is set to start at 19:00 and tickets are available from Curro Nelspruit from R120 to R180.
