JJ Peters, accused of killing his grandmother, Sannie Strydom Kilmister (68), on February 2, will make his first appearance in the Nelspruit Regional Court on Friday October 28.
The provincial spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority, Monica Nyuswa, said it is not yet sure if he will plead guilty. However, the court will ask him to plead during his first appearance.

The case passed all screening processes at the district court and is set for trial at the regional court. Peters has been in police custody since March, when he had abandoned his bail application and applied for state legal representation, after initially, during his first appearance, telling the court he would represent himself.

The accused is facing charges of murder, malicious damage to property and defeating the ends of justice.
