The application, according to the minister of transport, Fikile Mbalula, will work in conjunction with Sanral’s pothole management app. This will allow the public to upload images of potholes, raise issues of road conditions and provide real-time location of the road on an interactive map.

Users simply specify the location, provide a description and attach images. The app also provides status updates on certain issues raised, using a pothole ticketing system to keep the user informed about the report they made.
