A new jacket for the Lowveld’s Old Joe in the new year

Old Joe, a well-known Lowveld icon, has a new face - have a look.

Wouter de Witt, more commonly known as Ghost, gave the N4’s Old Joe a new look as we head into the new year.

Including travelling, this took the artist about five hours to complete.

“Normally, the old year is depicted by an old man handing the hourglass to a new year’s baby, in this case, 2023. I added a Scripture as I always do, Ephesians 5:15, just to evoke some curiosity to the truth that says we make use of the time given to us!” said De Witt.

“Big thanks to TRAC, the legal guardian of Old Joe, for supporting me, and keeping our roads in good condition.”
