Mbombela’s young business minds to be prepped for the future

The What We Wish For Foundation wants the youth to be change makers and aims to empower the next generation through an entrepreneurship seminar in Mbombela.

The What We Wished For Foundation will host its first entrepreneurship seminar for Mbombela’s youth at the civic centre hall on February 15.

The foundation is a non-profit organisation whose mission it is to facilitate opportunities for youths in poverty-stricken and disadvantaged communities, to discover and express their abilities and skills through purposefully designed programmes, solutions and events.

According to the CEO, Wakhe Shongwe, the seminar aims to bring business leaders and government officials together to inspire and create opportunities for those passionate about the business environment, and who strive to be entrepreneurs. “Our target market and demographic are university students, especially of the University of Mpumalanga and TUT,” Shongwe said.

The topic of the seminar is “How to create business opportunities for the youth”, and will be discussed by various guest speakers, including the entrepreneur and radio presenter, Mfundo Nyambi, and the founder and owner of Madaiza Urban Lifestyle, Junior Zwane.
Ntsako Mahlaule is set to be the keynote speaker on entrepreneurship.

All proceeds and other donations will be used to donate educational toys and resources, as well as clothes to the SOS Children’s Village and Bettie’s Haven Orphanage.
