Part of R40 on the verge of temporary closure

Traffic law enforcement officers are currently diverting traffic onto the Numbi road due to a part of the road collapsing at Klipkopjie Dam.

This is due to the heavy rainfall that the Lowveld has been experiencing since yesterday, February 9.

The collapsed section now extends over 50% of the road surface. Motorists travelling from White River to Hazyview are advised to do so via the R538 (the Numbi road).
