South African Weather Service predicts more rain for the Lowveld

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has released a yellow level two warning for possible rain over the Lowveld and along the Mpumalanga escarpment later this evening, February 15, and tomorrow morning.

SAWS said the expected rainfall may lead to further localised flooding, especially of informal settlements and low-lying roads.

Other possible impacts may include difficult driving conditions due to wet roads and minor vehicle accidents, and isolated rockfalls or mudslides along the escarpment.
