Manhunt for armed robbers continues in Sekhukhune
The Limpopo SAPS has launched a manhunt for a group of armed suspects.

They had allegedly blasted the ATM in the Bopedi Complex open with explosives on Thursday February 9 at about 02:00. The suspects also allegedly robbed SPAR at Bopedi, blasting its safes open and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash and groceries.
“The SAPS were alerted about the incident. While on the lookout for the suspects, they met vehicles fitting the description of those used by the group.

“The suspects opened fire on the police. The SAPS retaliated, but the suspects managed to evade arrest, driving off in two VW Polo sedans, one silver and one blue,” said the Limpopo SAPS spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafelo Mojapelo.
“It is alleged that a small amount of money was stolen during the crime. A silver Audi A4 with fake registration plates and a white C-Class Mercedes-Benz were found abandoned at the scene as well as a pistol and some of the suspected stolen groceries were recovered,” Mojapelo added.
