NHS take victory at 2023 Ehlanzeni Interhigh Gala
The best of the best of seven Lowveld schools went head to head in the pool in Mbombela.
Swimmers of Hoërskool Nelspruit (NHS), Hoërskool Rob Ferreira, Curro Nelspruit, Penryn College, Barberton High School and Komatipoort Akademie were hosted by Upland College for the 2023 Ehlanzeni Interhigh Gala at Van Riebeeck Swimming Pool on February 22.
The swimmers competed in a series of events, including backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle and butterfly. A mixed team medley relay was also included in the programme.
NHS were the overall winners, with Uplands in second place and Rob Ferreira rounding off the top three.

Luckily for the hosts, the weather played along and even some of the spectators took to the pool during a break in the programme to seek relief from the sun.
