Flood damage report for Ehlanzeni District Municipality due soon

All assessments have been done, but they are now awaiting expert verification and a final cost estimation. This is expected to be finalised soon.

The final report on the damage caused by the recent floods has been tabled, but is awaiting expert verification and cost estimation.

The spokesperson for the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), Lindiwe Msibi, said all departments had completed their investigations and presented them to the department. “We are waiting for the expert to verify the estimated cost. Everything is expected to be finalised by the end of this week. We will take it to national government to approve so we can start repairs.”
