Two accidents on same day near Lydenburg
Accidents on the Burgersfort Road (R37) and the Long Tom Pass (R37) caused traffic delays on Friday.

A Volvo FH cargo vehicle flipped onto its sideand blocked the Burgersfort Road at 05:20 on March 17. Emergency workers were unable to remove the truck and by late afternoon it was still causing traffic delays.
The unbalanced load apparently caused the accident, as well as the sharp road curves on the Watervalsrivierpad. The truck blocked one and a half lanes.
The accident occured 22km from Lydenburg towards Burgersfort. It has since been removed.
One occupant sustained serious injuries and another minor injuries.
