Indian cuisine takes centre stage at food festival in Mbombela
It was a celebration of food and culture at Church Unlimited's Indian Food Festival.

On Friday evening, March 10, Church Unlimited’s Indian Food Festival was full of flavour.
Mince rotis, chicken curry, mutton biryani, bunny chows, samoosas and butter chicken were only some of the Indian cuisine served by the various food vendors.
The church’s coffee shop was also open to serve cooldrinks and a selection of coffees and tees to the festivalgoers.
“We have many different cultures in our church and want to celebrate them,” Etienne Garnett-Bennett of Church Unlimited said. He also mentioned that later this year, around wintertime, they aim to host a Portuguese evening, celebrating the cuisine the Portuguese brought to our country.
Garnett-Bennett said the only thing they would change is to ensure that more food is available, as they did run out of stock quite quickly.
Bouncing castles were also put up on the grounds to keep the little ones busy while mum and dad indulged in all the Indian flavours.
