Slap fighting contest is sure to turn heads in Mbombela
The competition will see opponents strike each other in the face until someone submits or is knocked out.

Some might call it the next big thing, others might call it a little absurd. But whether you like it or not, a sport called slap fighting has taken social media by storm.
While you might have only seen it on social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok or Facebook, you now have the opportunity to witness this ever-growing sport first-hand, on home soil, at Mustangs – The Dancing Place.

Brought to you by Punisher Slap Fight Promotions, the Nelspruit Slap Fight Tournament on April 1 will see opponents strike each other in the face until someone submits or is knocked out.

Competitors stand rigidly upright with their hands behind their backs, waiting to absorb a brutal slap to the face. When the open-handed blow is delivered, there’s a sharp sound and the reaction can be dramatic.
Some fighters barely move, while others stumble backward or fall to the floor. Some are knocked out.
