Easter egg hunt hosted for good cause in Mbombela
All funds raised at the event will go to the centre, which will assist it in its day-to-day operations, since they are not funded by the government.

Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency provided a highly entertaining kiddies’ Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 15. Despite the cold weather in the morning, more than 50 youngsters and their families participated in this popular hunt.
According to Karin Erasmus of Pro-Life, the children were scurrying around various hiding spots in an effort to find the most eggs. Even children as young as four participated.

The kids could also take part in a stake-a-claim treasure hunt on a first come, first served basis from 10:00 until the prize-giving at noon. Many awesome prizes were won. Boerewors rolls and cooldrinks kept the energy levels up, while plants and a huge book sale with a variety of literary jewels brought in additional funds.

There was also a cupcake baking contest, and the income of more than 200 cakes will go towards providing a better future for the animals at Pro-Life. Erasmus called on the public to support the centre with any donation, or to use their spare time to visit it and become involved.

“People can come and take the animals for a walk, wash and feed those needing assistance, and the pets can even be adopted.”
