For the next 12 months she will be working within her community making a difference to others.

“Over the past 24 years more than 8 500 winners have been crowned in various Pageants SA events and together with the winners and titleholders over 500 000 charity events have been done, thereby helping over four million people to date,” said Pageants SA.

“Our chosen charities for the event were Dignity Dreams Pads, Palesa Pads, Subz Pads and Be Your Dream and each contestant became involved in obtaining sponsorships to enable them to distribute these washable and reusable sanitary pads to the less fortunate in their communities. They also raised money towards assisting people with fees for their tertiary education.”

The winners of the pageant will travel to various international pageants to represent their titles and South Africa.

Lowvelder reported on Van Deventer last year when she was a finalist in Lowvelder’s Got Talent.

At the time she had received her South African colours in the performing arts and modelling. She then mentioned that her dream was to become an internationally renowned model.
