Mpumalanga’s National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa, said the case was postponed to June 2 for further investigation.

De Bruyn and Kruger first appeared in the White River Magistrate’s Court on April 12 on charges of attempted murder and the discharging of a firearm in a built-up area or public place.

This followed a shooting incident on April 10 when the young girl was shot in the back while travelling with her family in a minivan on the R537.
