Pumas set for the second half of the Carling Currie Cup campaign

Coach Jimmy Stonehouse has named his side to battle it out in this weekend's cat fight against the Lions.

It has been called the ‘Battle of the Big Cats’ or ‘The cat fight’ and the claws will indeed come out at Emirates Airline Park on Friday April 28 when the Airlink Pumas and the Fidelity ADT Lions go head-to-head once more.

The last time these two sides met was on March 17 when the Pumas triumphed over the Lions in their first home game of the 2023 Carling Currie Cup Season.

The Pumas won that match by 34 points to 27.

The Mpumalanga outfit are on top of the log with 29 points to their name after a narrow victory against DHL Western Province at Mbombela Stadium.

The Lions will go into this one the underdogs, with only 14 log points.
