Overturned diesel tanker closes lane on N4 between Kaapmuiden and Matsulu
The N4 westbound lane in the direction of Pretoria between Matsulu and Kaapmuiden has been closed.
Motorists have been urged to approach the N4 between Matsulu and Kaapmuiden with caution following the overturning of a diesel tanker on June 25.
TRAC’s Solange Soares said the incident was reported to the TRAC Helpdesk at 12:14 and that the westbound lane has been closed.
She said TRAC couldn’t confirm how much diesel was spilt due to the tanker overturning.

Both Soares and the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison’s spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi, said there were reports of people trying to steal the diesel from the tanker.
He said both TRAC and traffic officials are currently on the scene. It is unclear when the westbound lane will be cleared. Lowvelder will provide its readers with an update as soon as more information becomes available.
