Luxury and beauty will highlight Afri Orchid’s open day this September
Lowvelders will be able to browse through all the orchids and other flowers they can dream of at the Afri Orchids Open House and International Garden Festival.

Afri Orchids have decided to open the garden and greenhouses to the public yet again and put the bright and lush collection of orchids on display.
This year’s Afri Orchids Open House and International Garden Festival is set to take place from September 2 to 3, from 08:00 to 17:00 and 09:00 to 16:00.

International nurseries from as far afield as Thailand, Ecuador, Jamaica and Florida in the United States of America will be joining the festivities with some local nurseries as well.
The festival caters for everyone with a relaxing tea garden, a wine bar set up by The Blue Gate, delicious food, artisanal treats, and some jewellery and ceramic work by local studios.
What’s more is that flower enthusiasts can indulge in the beauty of all the orchids and other plants to their hearts’ desire, for only R10 per person.

Your furry friends are welcome to enjoy the gardens as well, but be sure to keep them on a leash.
Afri Orchids is situated behind Kwanyoni Lodge in Alkmaar, about 15km outside Mbombela.
