Puno Foundation donates 20 pairs of shoes to needy pupils at Mmiditsi
This foundation was formed in June 2023 by local business people from all corners of Tubatse. Their sole aim is to improve local communities, including schools, orphanages and disabled centres.
An organisation in Tubatse, the Puno Foundation, handed 20 pairs of shoes to needy pupils at Bothashoek’s Mmiditsi Secondary School on Monday January 29.
The donations brought smiles to the pupils, educators and the school management team.
The Puno Foundation’s management indicated they want the pupils to go to school with pride and warmth during the coming winter season.
“We believe in the importance of making a difference in the communities, and this initiative also gives us an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with our key stakeholders,” said Stephelinah Mashego
of Puno.
Another member, Nthabiseng Mohlala, said the donations allows impoverished learners to see themselves as equal to other learners, which encourages the teaching and learning development.
“Today’s donations will make a huge difference to the lives of the learners. These kinds of initiatives are not only about donating uniforms, but also leading by example and supporting the pupils as they are our future leaders.”
Mmiditsi’s principal, KD Marebane, thanked Puno for the donations.
“We would like to thank you for the gifts. It is surely going to make a difference in their lives. We thank you for working with us in building the future of the learners.”
