Woman moderately injured in a single-vehicle accident in Mbombela
The patient was immobilised on the scene before she was rushed to the hospital. Motorists are advised to drive with caution on the R40 between Kiaat Hospital and Drum Rock.
A driver was rushed to the hospital after she hit the barrier and flipped her vehicle on the between Kiaat Hospital and Drum Rock early this morning, February 13.
According to Martin Jeffrey of Emer-G-Med, they received a call about the accident. “Upon arrival, we found a female patient who had swerved to avoid colliding with a stationary truck. In the course of her action, she hit the barrier and flipped her vehicle over it. The driver was extricated and fully immobilised, and she was transported to Kiaat Hospital for further management of her injuries,” he said.

Emergency personnel are currently on the scene, monitoring the situation. However, motorists are advised to drive with caution while approaching the area. Recovery of the vehicle is under way.
