IN PHOTOS: Pro-Life Pet Rescue celebrates Valentine’s Day smoochy style in Mbombela
The annual Valentine’s Day festivities at the Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency was a success, as the centre managed to gather some much-needed donations of animal food, and two puppies even found new homes.
It was a celebration of smooches and cuddles at an event at the Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency on Saturday February 17.
Love was in the air as part of this fundraising drive, the Smooch-a-pooch and Cuddle-a-cat, where the public was allowed to do just this. More than 50 Lowvelders with special hearts for our furry friends spoilt a rescue animal for the day. The pawprints of joy, happy barks and wagging tails will be remembered for a long time to come as young and old dogs enjoyed walks and socialising with their two- and four-footed friends.

Food was donated to the animals at Pro-Life, while the visitors could buy various pawsome goodies and enjoy scrumptious cakes, boerie rolls and cold drinks during the day, with all income going towards the well-being of the animals. Two puppies also found forever homes as Pro-Life ensured the new pet parents met all the necessary requirements to take home their man’s best friends.

The public is invited to visit these pets during the centre’s office hours and give them some special attention. Pro-Life is also calling on people to donate pet food, blankets, cash and even good quality second-hand items to sell at special auctions to raise funds towards ensuring all the animals are taken very well care of until such time as they become part of a human family.
