We Care 4 Nelspruit needs assistance to clean important roads in Mbombela

We Care 4 Nelspruit has embarked on cleaning the KaMagugu and Kaapsehoop roads.

We Care 4 Nelspruit started clearing and cleaning the KaMagugu and Kaapsehoop roads on April 2.

According to the founder of We Care 4 Nelspruit, Pr TJ Maré, both of these roads connect to Dr Enos Mabuza Drive and they have received numerous requests from the community to assist.

He also said they have the capacity to start the job, but need some donations to complete it.

“We are grateful for all the assistance already received, and once again appeal to the public to help us in moving forward. Our aim is to complete these projects in the next two weeks. Cost wise, we are looking at approximately R20 000 to cover wages, transport, meals, fuel and equipment. Any donations of petrol, diesel and meals for workers are most welcome,” he said.

Maré said one of the reasons they are working on the KaMagugu road is that the area is overgrown, leading to illegal dumping.

“We are responding to the outcry of the residents because the area that we are cleaning is in the heart of the city and of economic importance. We hope the municipality will also work with us on this project, because we are trying to assist for the sake of keeping our town clean at all times.”

Maré added that anyone who wants to donate, can call him on 082 772 6396 or visit them on-site.
