Skhila FC crowned champions of inaugural Romans Pizza tournament

With an aim of improving sports locally, the Lydenburg youth approached Romans Pizza to sponsor a soccer tournament during the Easter weekend.
The tourney kicked off at the Mashishing Stadium on March 29 and was completed on April 1. It involved 16 local teams participating in the Mashishing Promotional League.
“We labelled the tournament the Romans Pizza Cup after the restaurant sponsored this good initiative. We aim to have this tournament annually, and it will assist in unearthing local talent. Having our youth participate in sports activities prevents them from engaging in criminal activities and takes them off the streets,” said one of the organisers, Jerry Fenyane.
