Norman Mahlalela, a finalist in the Mr Mpumalanga 2024 competition, partnered with Roots Butchery to bring joy to some primary schoolchildren.

Mr Mpumalanga 2024 finalist Norman Mahlalela collaborated with Roots Butchery to illustrate true community spirit by extending their support to Ekuphumuleni Primary School on Thursday April 4.

Their joint effort reached 715 children through a heartfelt braai gathering, alongside a donation of 100 schoolbags and empowering motivational sessions tailored for the Grade Seven boys.

“My unwavering dedication to promoting a healthy lifestyle, supporting underprivileged families, and advocating for children without adequate representation spearheads my commitment to community upliftment. I urge people to vote for me in the Mr Mpumalanga pageant, as this would enable me to continue these impactful initiatives, fostering lasting change in the lives of those most in need,” said Mahlalela.

According to Roots manager Daniel Ponte, this was not just about community engagement, but also about instilling hope and positivity among the youth facing various social challenges. “Roots firmly believes that every child deserves happiness and shouldn’t have to endure the hardships of today’s society. Together we stand against child hunger, striving to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all,” said Ponte.
