Serious collision in Mbombela’s Samora Machel Drive intersection causes traffic delays

A serious collision between a taxi and a white Chevrolet Spark occurred at the intersection of Samora Machel Drive and the Matsefeni road, resulting in traffic delays. Emer-G-Med and other service providers attended the scene. Motorists are urged to use caution as the road is partially closed and slippery due to the rain.

Martin Jeffrey, an Emer-G-Med paramedic, confirmed a serious accident involving a taxi and a white Chevrolet Spark at the intersection of Samora Machel Drive and the Matsafeni road tonight at about 18:15.

The taxi driver reportedly ran a red light and T-boned the Spark. Jeffrey said Emer-G-Med and other service providers assessed and treated several patients on the scene before transporting them to Rob Ferreira Hospital for further treatment.

He said the road is partially closed and motorists should expect delays in the area.
