Puppy yoga offers a harmonious time at animal shelter near Mbombela

Pro-Life Pet Rescue said the puppies are available for adoption and welcomed anyone who would be interested to adopt one to visit their premises.

A great way to start a Saturday morning is yoga with a dose of energetic puppy love at the Pro-Life Pet Rescue’s Puppy Yoga Day, which was held on May 18.

This first-of-its-kind session hosted by the animal shelter saw a number of Lowvelders, animal lovers and fitness enthusiasts, joining in to spend some time with the puppies. The yoga instructor, Caron da Silva, led the session, encouraging all the attendees to get in touch with their inner selves for moments of relaxation. She also shared some tips on how to have effective yoga sessions at home.

However, the aim of this session was to give the seven pups some human interaction, as they are old enough to be adopted. The puppies are mixed breeds and about eight weeks old.

Pro-Life Pet Rescue’s Karin Erasmus said they appreciate the attendees’ enthusiasm and support, which afforded the puppies some extra love. “We hope to have more of these yoga sessions regularly. As the pups are ready for adoption, we welcome anyone, especially animal lovers who would like to adopt any of these lovely pups,” she said.
