WATCH: Feeding frenzy on Skukuza Golf Course leave patrons in awe

Two lions with their catch, an uninvited crocodile and four scavengers made a wild sighting video opportunity for golfers a memorable one on the greens at Skukuza Golf Club.

A spectacular wild sighting played off on Monday night, August 12, on the green in front of the Skukuza Golf Club’s restaurant.

According to Jean Rossouw, the club’s greenkeeper, some members were relaxing on the deck just after 19:00 after a day of golf, enjoying some drinks and a hearty evening meal, when two lions caught an impala on the green.

According to Rossouw, the lions started feasting on it. After a while, four hyenas came along and tried to get in on the action.

What happened next stunned the onlookers. A uninvited crocodile came out of the river onto the green, after which the lions made away with the carcase and the reptile started to feast on some of the scraps.

In the video, the hyena’s true cheekiness and opportunistic mannerisms can be seen as the scavengers very bravely tried to get closer to the giant crocodile for a little bite as well.
