Locals tasted exquisite wines from more than 20 estates and enjoyed gourmet treats while they explored the Unwined Wine and Food Show.

With 25 wine estates to sample from, about 400 visitors flocked to Mbombela Golf Club for the Unwined Wine and Food Show on Saturday, September 7.

While the wine flowed from stall to stall, there were artisanal treats and gourmet foods to sample as well, creating the perfect combination for a wine show in spring. The show brought together top winemakers, estates and industry experts to elevate local wine lovers’ experience as they basked in the scenery of the golf course.

Any wine lover was sure to find something to their taste, ranging from dry reds and whites to something sweet and bubbly. As the visitors explored an array of exquisite wines from the carefully curated selection of wine estates, they also enjoyed music from Mbombela’s very own trumpeter, Stix Dumisa, and guitarist and vocalist, Brian Wilkinson.

One of the organisers, Toiné Schoeman, said this instalment was one of the most attended Unwined Wine and Food shows.
