The Family Fun Day at the De Rust Lifestyle Estate on October 5 was an event filled with laughter and joy, organised by Aida Lowveld on behalf of the estate to make people aware of this establishment.

The aim was to bring families in the Hazyview area and its surroundings together, and to create publicity.

Despite the hot weather, the event saw more than 100 people of all ages competing in farm runs, aerobics and obstacle games that kept everyone busy. Stalls sold a variety of foods and local businesses showcased all their products.

The Aida organisers said the event exceeded their expectations thanks to the number of attendees. That all ages were represented was also gratifying. The even was for the entire family from kids and pets were also welcomed. “We would like to thank everyone who was part of the event for taking their time to spend the day with us. We also believe that we managed to bring families together to have some fun and bond while they interact with one another. We believe the attendees had a chance to view the estate and we are hoping to see them coming back to purchase the land,” they said.

Their contributions played a key role in ensuring the success of the event and making it a memorable experience for all attendees.

Johannes Koekmoer of De Rust thanked everyone who was part of the event and Aida Lowveld for organising such a successful family fun day. “Our estate is about accommodating families and bringing them together. We are hoping we will see some of them coming back to build their houses here,” he said.
