Mpumalanga Division of the High Court postpones judgment in case against men accused of murdering German tourist

The defence team and State prosecutor concluded their arguments on Tuesday, October 29, and the presiding judge postponed his judgment on Monday November 4.

The three men accused of killing a German tourist will know their fate on Monday, November 11.

The State and the defence team made their final arguments on Tuesday October 29, in the case which has been ongoing for 24 months.

The three men face charges of murdering German tourist, Jörg Schnarr, attempted murder, attempted robbery with aggravating circumstances, contravention of the Firearms Control Act for the unlawful possession of ammunition, as well as contravention of the Riotous Assemblies Act for conspiring to commit robbery with aggravating circumstances.

The trio are expected to appear in Mpumalanga Division of the High Court on November 11 for judgement.

The incident occurred on October 3, 2022 on Numbi Road in Masoyi.
