Networking session sparks valuable connections for Mbombela businesswomen

Tracy-Erin Duggan, the local business leader of the SACBW Nelspruit, said the purpose of the event was to provide a supportive and inspiring environment for women to connect.

The guests and members of the South African Council of Business Women (SACBW) Nelspruit enjoyed a networking session that helped them spark new connections. This monthly meeting was held at The Green Lizard Guest House on Thursday November 14.

It was a dynamic and engaging networking experience designed for successful women in various industries, and revolved around building meaningful connections while having fun, using interactive games to break the ice and foster collaboration.

Tracy-Erin Duggan, the local business leader of the SACBW Nelspruit, said the atmosphere was lively and energetic, with a strong emphasis on both professional growth and personal connections. She said the purpose of the event was to provide a supportive and inspiring environment for women to connect, share insights and empower one another.

“It aimed to create opportunities for networking, collaboration and mentorship, while also celebrating the achievements of women in leadership. By blending professional development with a fun, interactive twist, the event fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among attendees.”

According to her, the council received positive feedback regarding the event.

“Many highlighted how the interactive games helped them break down barriers and build genuine connections in a relaxed environment. Participants also appreciated the inspiring discussions and the opportunity to meet like-minded women who share their ambitions,” she said.

During the event, the SACBW members also participated in the election of a new local business leader, who will take office in 2025. The name of the new leader will officially be announced at the next event, the year-end champagne breakfast. To attend this event, email nelspruit@sacbw.org.
