Parolee on the run in Nkomazi, armed and dangerous

Donald Sipho Khoza got away with a SAPS service pistol during an operation to apprehended him this morning, December 15.

The Nkomazi SAPS and the Malalane Community Policing Forum (CPF) are looking for a man, Donald Sipho Khoza, who violated his parole and who is armed with a SAPS service pistol.

A Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Donald Mdhluli, said the man fought with the police during an operation to apprehend him earlier this morning, December 15. “During the struggle, he managed to take a service firearm from one of the members.”

The CPF released a statement, saying: “Khoza is a convicted rapist and murderer. He has been out on parole and working in the Malalane area.”

The Malalane CPF’s chairperson, Mel Preddy, said a warrant for Khoza’s arrest was issued on December 10, due to parole violations. “He is believed to currently in the Mhlatikop/Malelane Golf Club/Impala Station areas, and is likely heading towards the N4 looking to escape.”

Khoza was reportedly last seen wearing a dark navy golf shirt and green shorts.

The CPF highlighted some specific areas where he could be spotted:

• The RCL premises and surrounding farming land

• Impala Station and Impala settlement

• Areas around the Tolcon Weighbridge.

Mdhluli said a manhunt has been launched and he hopes Khoza will be caught soon.

Community members are urged to report any information regarding this man to the police immediately. Mdhluli said information can be provided by calling the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or via the My SAPS app.
