A Christmas like no other for Malelane SUPERSPAR shoppers
SPAR shoppers enjoyed receiving gifts and vouchers and listening to the beautiful musical performances by Reshen Music and Stix Dumisa.
Malelane SUPERSPAR patrons were treated to a Christmas like no other on Tuesday, December 17.
From live carols, face painting for the little ones, exciting goodies and photobooths to winning SPAR vouchers, shoppers were treated to an early Christmas celebration.
“There’s a lot of people who came through for photo moments. People were genuinely enjoying the music and selfie opportunities. This is a Christmas Like No Other, just as we have decided to theme this year’s festivities. We decided to celebrate Christmas by bringing together our clients while they do their shopping and to give them moments to remember with their families and friends,” said SPAR’s Bella Mogane.
Reshen Nkala of Reshen Music said this was an exciting moment for him and his carol partner, Stix Dumisa. The pair have toured four other SPAR outlets in the Lowveld, making Malelane SUPERSPAR the fifth one. From singing South African favourites, such as Ringo’s “Ngiyagodola” and playing Mango Groove’s “Special Star” on the flute, the pair said they had an amazing time entertaining SPAR’s clients.
“We started on Thursday last week [December 12] and it has been great to bring joy to the people. The shoppers and SPAR personnel are very welcoming. My favourite part of this tour is giving away the vouchers and seeing the people’s faces light up. It’s Christmas time, a perfect time to share gifts and enjoy time with our families and friends,” said Nkala.
