Samancor’s annual golf day a roaring success
Two sport legends, 'Vinnige' Fanie de Villiers, former SA cricket fast bowler, and Danie Rossouw, former Springbok forward, also formed part of the teams during Samancor's golf day.
Samancor Eastern Chrome Mines (ECM) held its annual golf day at Lydenburg Golf Club on Saturday, March 8.
‘Tee it high and let it fly’ was evident as players swung it out on the tees.
Not only was this day attended by the mine and its various suppliers in the industry, ‘Vinnige’ Fanie de Villiers, former SA cricket fast bowler, and Danie Rossouw, former Springbok forward, also formed part of the teams that battled it out in friendly competition on the greens of Lydenburg Golf Club.
This golf day created the perfect opportunity for fun, networking and strengthening industry ties within the mining community.
The golf day started early in the morning with teams teeing off in a stroke play competition. The day was filled with team spirit, and as usual huge prizes were up for grabs.
