Tubatse Cricket Club clinch series win

Medium-fast bowler Kwata Masango was the man of the series

Tubatse Cricket Club (TCC) won a three-match series played at Malegale Sports Grounds on May 3. Tubatse beat Malegale Cricket Club in all three T10 matches played at Malegalek in the Makhuduthamaga area.

In the first match TCC won the toss and decided to bat.

Tubatse managed to put a total of 71 runs on the board. In their chase, Malegale were all out on 30 runs, losing the match by 41 runs.

The second match was also a dominated by the visitors. They won the match by 27 runs. The third match confirmed Tubatse’s whitewash.

They defeated Malegale by 44 runs to win the series and bring home a trophy and gold medals.

The new recruit, Kwata Masango, a medium-fast bowler from Praktiseer, was the man of the series, and man of the match in two of the three matches.

Tubatse Cricket Club’s coach, Usman Ayub Rao, pleaded for support from local businesses and the Limpopo government. “Our aim is to develop cricket in Sekhukhune. With the help of our government we can teach kids in rural areas the basics of this sport.”
