Stolen Gauteng vehicle recovered in Low’s Creek

The car was reported stolen in Randburg, Gauteng.

A stolen vehicle was recovered when the Low’s Creek police conducted a stop-and-search operation on the R38 near Sheba Siding on Tuesday, May 20.

According to a Mpumalanga police’s spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, a tracking company informed the police about a hijacked vehicle which their device indicated was stationery in the area.

Ndubane said police officers found the vehicle abandoned near the road with a key inside and fitted with false licence plates.

“All role players were summoned to the scene, and the vehicle was taken to police camp after confirming it was stolen. It was reported as stolen in Randburg, Gauteng. No arrests have been made,” Ndubane said.
