Buildings ablaze in Mbombela

About eight Bester Street businesses caught fire tonight’ (Tuesday, May 27). The cause of the fire is unknown.
According to Thea Rix, who is currently on the scene, the fire started at one of the shops, called M & M Cellular, before spreading to others.
The City of Mbombela Fire and Rescue team is currently on the scene trying to contain the fire’s spread.

“Only one shop is salvageable, while the rest of the shops have burned down. There is nothing left. Firefighters are still battling with the blaze. All emergency personnel are at the scene, and no injuries have been reported so far,” she said.
