Power still not restored for major businesses in Mbombela

Major business buildings are left in the dark hours after power has been restored to other parts of Mbombela.

Although electricity was restored at the Anderson substation in Mbombela’s CBD earlier today, June 17, businesses in Kiepersol Street and Stinkhout Crescent remain without power.

Most of them managed to stay open during the day with the help of generators.

The outage began at around 04:30, with power being gradually restored from about 11:00 – except in these two areas.
