IN PHOTOS | New generation of local talent takes the stage at Mbombela Plato Coffee

The performers each showcased outstanding talent.

The city came alive with music on August 1, as around 25 young artists took to the stage for the Plato Platform showcase at Plato Coffee.

The performers delivered a stellar show, offering the audience a dynamic mix of genres – from elegant piano and guitar pieces to heartfelt vocal solos and energetic group sets.

Each act brought something unique, captivating the crowd and affirming the promise of a vibrant new wave of local musicians.

The event was spearheaded by Julia Burger, a familiar face on Mbombela’s music scene, and hosted by Plato Coffee owner Mike Groenewald. Organiser Linda Groenewald said the aim was to give emerging performers a meaningful platform – and they rose to the occasion.

The atmosphere buzzed with energy, driven by the passion on stage and the enthusiastic response from the audience.

Plato Platform offered more than just entertainment; it revealed the depth of musical potential growing in Mbombela.
