Alleged drunk driver appears in Malalane court

Zakhele Dube faces three counts of culpable homicide, reckless and negligent driving, and drunk driving.

Zakhele Dube, the alleged drunk driver accused of causing the deaths of Donovan Prince and Zelma D’Hollander on August 30, appeared in the Malalane Periodical Court on September 1 for his bail hearing.

His case was postponed to tomorrow, September 3, for judgement. Dube faces three counts of culpable homicide, reckless and negligent driving, and drunk driving.

He was arrested after he allegedly crashed into three safety volunteers who assisted at an accident on the N4 at the Jeppes Reef Junction.

A third victim, Letta Taylor, remains in hospital in a critical condition.
