“At this stage we don’t know the cause of the accident, however, an investigation is underway to determine such. We are appealing to motorists to always drive with caution on the roads to avoid accidents. We understand that it is a month-end weekend and most people have received their salaries. Others are welcoming spring, and they consume alcohol and get on the road while they are drunk,” he said.
Mmusi said motorists need to respect the rules and not drink and drive because they endanger themselves and other road users.
He also sent messages of condolence to the deceased’s families and wished a speedy recovery to those who were injured.
