Two truck drivers were killed in a head-on collision on the N4 Northern Bypass  today September 23.

According to Martin Jeffrey of Emer-G-Med, one truck was loaded and the other empty. Both drivers were declared dead at the scene, and their bodies remain trapped in the wreckage.

Emergency services are used the jaws of life to extricate the casualties before the road can be cleared.

The affected section of the N4 is closed to traffic in both directions, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
