We Care 4 Nelspruit leads community in litter removal

We Care 4 Nelspruit has joined hands with local businesses and schools to keep the city clean.

We Care 4 Nelspruit has once again taken the lead in keeping Mbombela clean, with its latest campaign targeting several key areas across the city.

This time, local schools and businesses joined the effort, helping to pick up litter and clear overgrown bushes.

Ps TJ Maré, founder of the initiative, said the clean-up focused on Enos Mabuza Drive (from Steiltes to West End), the Old Pretoria Road, and the parkland at the intersection of the N4 and the Old Pretoria Road.

“The collective effort of volunteers, including local students and businesses, has made a visible difference, improving the look and cleanliness of these public spaces,” Maré said.

The team is already preparing for next week’s campaign, which will target the N4 from Halls, as well as Murray, Mostert and Marloth streets.

“We Care 4 Nelspruit thrives on growing community involvement – a powerful example of how residents can take ownership of their environment and work together to create a cleaner, more appealing city for everyone,” Maré said.

He added that the organisation remains committed to reaching areas where municipal services are falling short.
