UPDATE | Harsh weather conditions could postpone search for missing aircraft
Volunteers and search and rescue teams have been dispatched to find a missing Cessna 206.

It’s been over seven hours since a Cessna 206 aircraft was reported missing between Eswatini and South Africa. Search and rescue teams are en route to meet up and search for the aircraft near the Barberton Nature Reserve.

A volunteer who wished to remain anonymous told Lowvelder that due to heavy rain and mist, the search and rescue team might only be able to actively search tomorrow (Friday, October 17).
The aircraft was heading to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport earlier this afternoon when it was reported missing after it lost signal. It had departed from King Mswati III International Airport in Eswatini at 13:23 and lost signal at 13:37.
This is a developing story. Lowvelder will update its readers as more information is made available.
